Zardari arrested by 15 members of the National Accountability Bureau, after his pre-arrest bail was cancelled by the Islamabad High Court in the Fake Accounts case.
As a result, strong protests erupted throughout the whole country from the Pakistan People’s Party, mostly in the Party-ruled Sindh Province.
He and his Sister Faryal Talupr’s plea for the extension was rejected by the Islamabad High Court, after which was Zardari arrested.
Following the arrest of Zardari at his Islamabad Residence, Zardari was shifted to NAB Rawalpindi’s office, where doctors examined his physical fitness and it is most likely expected that, he will be presented before the court for Physical Remand on Tuesday (today).

Zardari Arrested by NAB after Pre-Arrest Bail Rejection
A number of party workers, as well as PPP’s chairman, Bilawal Buhtto Zardari and his daughter Aseefa saw Zardari took off in a Black Bullet Proof Land Cruiser from his Zardari House to NAB’s Rawalpindi House.
Soon after the arrest in the evening, an executive meeting was called to the party’s media cell, to call a protest at Karachi’s Hassan Square against the Zardari’s arrest.
Faaryal Talpur was also involved in the Fake accounts case, and her bail was rejected, but, there are no arrest warrants issued for her.
It was already informed to the National Speaker Assembly through a letter that the execution of warrants will be done by NAB on the account of orders by the NAB Chairman.
A 15-Member NAB team, including male and female officers as well, arrived at Zardari House to arrest him in the fake accounts case, while all the roads leading to his residence were blocked as a security and preventive measure.
The fake accounts case pertains to the transcations that are worth Rs. 4.4 Billion, carried out through suspicious and fictitious fake bank accounts.
