10-year-old Selena Khawaja became first youngest Pakistani Mountain Climber who scaled Spantik Peak successfully on July 17, 2019. By climbing this mountain, she became the youngest ever mountaineer to summit 7000er and made a world record.

Selena Khawaja, Youngest Mountain Climber made a World Record

Spantik peak is a mountain in Spantik-Sosbun in a range of Karakoram Nagar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan. This younger child has already made a record of summiting 5000 and 6000 meter peaks. Last year in 2018, she made headlines when she climbed Quz Sar Peak at 5,765-meter. Moreover, in June Selena scaled Mingli Sar at 6,050m.

The little Champ completed whole round track in 52 minutes in comparison to others who completed the track on Spantik peak in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

In the history of mountaineering, no other younger child has climbed and achieved this milestone.

After she climbed Mingli Sar, she asked for a sponsorship to allow her to climb Spantik peak which is a 7027 meter and made a world record!

After her successful Summit of 7000m, she gave a message to the world.

“Aim High, Work Hard and achieve your goal”

Selena Khawaja, youngest mountaineer has a next goal to achieve too. She wanted to climb Broad Peak, which is 8,047 meters. All her eyes on are her next destiny and Mount Everest too. If she will be able to successfully scale broad peak, the fourth highest peak in Pakistan, she will become the youngest climber to summit 8000er.

Earlier, she also expressed her wish to summit the highest mountain in the world Mount Everest which is 8,848 meters.

Karakoram Club posted her picture calling her the youngest ever girl in the history mountaineers.

Main goal of this little climber Selena Khawaja is to climb mount everest by Spring 2020.
