To promote tourism in Pakistan, the Travel filmmaker and CEO of Eyebex films Wajahat Malik has reached the Kunjurab pass. This makes him the first person to ride an Auto Rickshaw on Karakoram highway all the way to the Pak-China border. F-16 tyara is also the first rikshaw to be driven at altitude of 4,700 meters at the Khunjurab pass.

Wajahat Malik of the Eyebex films is a well known adventure and travel broadcaster. He launched the said campaign to promote safe tourism in Pakistan on 22nd May 2019, In collaboration with the Pakistan tourism development corporation.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by passionate travelers and professional from the travel and tour industry. The chief guest of the ceremony was MD PTDC Intikhab Alam.

He said, the present government is trying to establish travel and tourism as an important sector of the economy. And that the government is promoting tourism by making the visa process easier and by facilitating the local and foreign tourist. He also emphasized on the need of private sector and government working together to achieve the tourism goals.

As the government has announced 2019 to be the year of tourism in Pakistan. It is important to spread awareness about keeping our tourist spot clean and retain their natural beauty. Many natural sites are littered with plastic now that they are accessible to more public. The campaign is aimed at spreading awareness and educating the masses about the responsibility they have to the tourist attractions.

On May 22nd, Weight Malik commenced the journey to Khunjurab pass, on an Auto rikshaw from Islamabad. The rikshaw was painted and decorated with safer and responsible tourism messages. He named the rikshaw F-16 taiyara (jet) and set off on the adventure.

He photo logged the journey on a Facebook page The Rikshaw diary. They have filmed the whole journey too, and will soon compile it in a travel documentary. The documentary will be aired on various channels on the TV to promote tourism in Pakistan.
