Telenor Pakistan won four prestigious awards at the Effie Awards 2019 in four categories including two Gold, one Silver, and one Bronze. Effie is one of the leading platforms for gauging market effectiveness, which landed in Pakistan. Telenor is the prestigious and leading telecom operator industry.
Effie Pakistan has the first year here and they already look motivated towards marketing communications and implementing marketing ideas. Earlier this year, Effie welcomed many nomination calls through an inauguration ceremony in Pakistan. Telenor as the biggest telecommunication company in Pakistan successfully nominated for 7 categories among multiples.

Telenor Pakistan Scoops Four Awards at First Effie Awards 2019
Telenor Pakistan won a Gold award for the “Direct Carrier Billing” solution is the one shared with the Ogilvy Pakistan and OMD Pakistan agencies. The reason was that this solution enables the users of Telenor services to utilize their mobile balance and purchase the digital content.
On the other hand, the Gold Award for the North Plan in Corporate Reputation was shared with the agency partners like Ogilvy Pakistan, OMD Pakistan agencies, Coremedia and Active Media. Telenor proved to be the reliable and the solid network source for the areas where internet is inaccessible.
Telenor Pakistan won the Silver Award for kids’ literacy of internet under the name of iChamp (Internet Champion). The agency partners that collaborate with Telenor Pakistan are Adcom and Manhattan Communications (Pvt.) Ltd., along with Heptagon, Active Media, Ignite and Brand logics. The main aim behind this initiative is to make the school going children use the internet effectively for the safe and constructive activities in this increasingly digital age.
Later on this company won the Bronze for the “Apps and Software” under the program named “Goonj”. The aim behind “Goonj” was to collaborate with the Ogilvy Pakistan and OMD Pakistan and make video streaming apps. These apps allow the users to stream over at least 25 Pakistani TV channels in order to get the real time news and videos.
This award ceremony was held in Karachi by Effie Pakistan. This is a not-for-profit initiative between the social advertisers in Pakistan and Worldwide. Effie award ceremony revealed the most significant entities in marketing communication to give them recognition.
