Radio Pakistan shared the first position worldwide in the World Radio contest 2019 held in Paris, France through the collaboration of UNESCO. It was held by the involvement of The World Radio contest 2019 was held in Paris, France through the collaboration of UNESCO and Radio team of Islamabad shared first position worldwide. They invited all the Radio stations from the world to participate in the contest. Whereas, Pakistan Radio got first position along with the Children International Youth Reporters Zambia. While the participant who stood second was from the United Kingdom, named as BIRSt Radio- Bournemouth University. This is a great moment for Pakistan as our Radio station brought proud to home.
Radio Pakistan “RABTTA”
Pakistan has broadcasted a programme on World Radio Day under the theme of
“Radio: A Vehicle for Dialogue, Tolerance, and Peace”.
The name of this program is “Rabtta” and it was presented in the contest. Radio Islamabad broadcasted this programme through the Islamabad station on this theme. On this big win Secretary Information and Broadcasting and Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Shafqat Jalil congratulated Muhammad Fiaz Kiani, Director of Islamabad Station.
He further expressed his best wishes for the Team. He was confident enough in this regard and said that the professionals of Radio team are competent enough to work with enthusiasm. The Radio team of Pakistan will work with the same commitment and effort. This is how Radio station is going to present Pakistan in the best possible way on not only national but also on International level. They have improved the image of Pakistan by winning this contest. Pakistan has availed this opportunity to prove himself globally.
