Pakistani Visa and U.S Visa Polices
U.S Department of the State has recently announced that they will soon implement a new security system for the U.S visa applicants. In this new security system, applicants will provide documents along with social media accounts.
The U.S authorities state that National security is there first and foremost priority. They have planned to undergo an extensive security clearance of all the traveler and immigrants to the United States. They further said that the U.S is constantly working on providing legitimate travel along with protecting their citizens. For this purpose, the United States is trying hard to improve its screening process.
The new U.S visa rules and regulations will affect 14 million non-immigrant visa applicants and 710,000 immigrant visa applicants. They are not even going to spare those applicants who want to visit the U.S for education and business purposes. However, the only applicants who will be exempted from the strict screening are official and diplomatic visa types. These two classes will not be asked to submit their social media account details.
This year in March, U.S has reduced its visa validity from 5 years to 12 months for the Pakistani citizens. It has been announced by U.S embassy Islamabad that without renewing the visa permits, journalists and the media persons will not be allowed to stay in the U.S over three months.
