New Zealand Kiwis Out Shines Sri Lanka by 10 Wickets

New Zealand Kiwis won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat first in Cardiff on Saturday 1st June, 2019, which results in their splendid victory as well. Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson, the two strong support managed to drag the Sri Lankans to 136 only in the World cup 2019. Martin Guptill and Colin Munro partnership made them score an unbeatable half-century each to chase this small target.

Henry and Ferguson Bowling Attack on Sri Lankans

Matt Henry in the first opening of the match against Sri Lankan splendidly bowl and lbw-ed their opener. His fast bowling sent the Sri Lankan opener back to the pavilion. In the 8th over, when Kusal Perrera regained the inning with 29 runs, Henry again outshines the Sri Lankan batsman through catch out.

Kusal Mendis entered in the field, but unfortunately depart on the first ball leaving the innings with 46-3. Henry again breakthrough this innings and made a marvellous comeback.

Henry and Ferguson, the two gems crashed the Sri Lankans in the World cup 2019 by taking their 3 wickets each. The rest of the wickets were taken by other New Zealand players and showed an amazing bowling unit.

In this tough bowling display, Sri Lanka managed to score 136 runs in 16.1 overs.

New Zealand Batsman Finely Crashed the Sri Lankans

136 was an easy score to be chased by the Kiwis. Martin Guptill hit 73 off 51 balls and his partner Colin Munro scored 58 runs to reach to the target. Martin score includes eight fours and two sixes followed by New Zealand’s amazing victory. However, the partnership of Black Caps leads them to their destiny score in less than 17 overs. Kane Williamson, the captain of New Zealand, Kiwis won the toss and chose to bowl and overall this decision has made their victory certain.
