WWE Money in the Bank 2020 is all set to be the first post-Wrestlemania PPV. MITB is a fan-favorite as it features some of their favorite Superstars fighting in an entertaining ladder match to (almost) secure a future World Title win. With the Event now closer than ever, let’s list down our Money in the Bank predictions! As of now, six matches are being advertised for the event. Expect 3-4 more bouts to be announced over the weekend. WWE Money in the Bank matches will surely create the thrill we all are looking for.
Money in the Bank
#1 The New Day (c) vs. The Miz and John Morrison vs. The Forgotten Sons vs. Lucha House Party for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship
It’s common for WWE to put all of their tag teams in one match for the respective titles. However, we have some new teams in the mix this time around. So as per our WWE Money in the Bank predictions, expect this match to open the PPV and be a show-stealer.
What should happen? The Forgotten Sons win the Tag Titles and establish their reign of terror over the Smackdown roster
What will happen? The New Day retains and continues feuding with any of these three teams.
#2 Bayley (c) vs. Tamina for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship
While it has all the tools to be a forgettable match that WWE can put after a stellar match to let the audience catch their breath, seeing what tricks Sasha Banks has up her sleeve might create some excitement.
What should happen? Bayley wins and gets one step closer to her inevitable feud with Sasha Banks.
What will happen? Bayley retains
#3 Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship
To say that Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins have done their absolute best in making their rivalry seem personal and entertaining amid the ongoing circumstances would be an understatement. We expect their MITB match to be an absolute banger. McIntyre and Rollins have collided several times in the past but this time, the stakes are as high as they could get.
What should happen? Drew McIntyre retains and continues picking up steam as we approach Summerslam
What will happen? Drew McIntyre retains
#4 Braun Strowman (c) vs. Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship
It can’t get better than this. After all these years, we get to see the former “stars” of the Wyatt Family go head to head for a World Title. The build-up to their match at WWE Money in the Bank has been awesome so far. Their history has a lot of elements that are yet to be explored. So, regardless of the outcome and our Money in the Bank predictions, expect these two to keep on fighting past the PPV in question.
What should happen? Braun Strowman retains against Bray Wyatt, prompting the latter’s alter-ego, “The Fiend” to attack the “Monster Among Men”
What will happen? No Contest due to The Fiend’s Interference
#5 Money in the Bank Ladder Matches
Men’s Version: Rey Mysterio vs. Otis vs. AJ Styles vs. King Corbin vs. Aleister Black vs. Daniel Bryan
Women’s Version: Lacey Evans vs. Nia Jax vs. Dana Brooke vs. Asuka vs. Carmella vs. Shayna Baszler
We listed these two matches together because it has been announced that both WWE Money in the Bank ladder matches this year will take place at the same time. The matches will begin at the ground floor of WWE’s HQ, and participants will have to fight their way to the roof, where the respective briefcases will be hanging for both men and women. It has been confirmed that the match will be shot like a mini-movie. Expect a lot of surprises and fun elements from these matches!
What should happen?
- Asuka wins the Women’s version of the match as a reward for her entertaining contributions to the empty arena shows
- Aleister Black grabs Men’s Briefcase and announces his cash-in in advance when the time is right
What will happen?
- Shayna Baszler will win the Women’s MITB match and continue to haunt Becky Lynch on Raw.
- AJ Styles will win the Men’s Briefcase and cash it in when the crowd returns
