Virat Kohli is a seasoned cricketer and a nice person too. There’s a reason why people our side of the border love him too. In the world cup Match between India and Bangladesh, the skipper of the Indian Cricket team celebrated their win by jumping off the fence and making his 87-year-old fan’s dream come true. Charulata Patel Ji was over the moon, she felt like she met her sons.

India beat Bangladesh by 28 runs in a close match that kept us at the edges of our seats. Virat has finally led his team to the semifinals, and he chose to celebrate his win with a special fan.

As the players headed out of the stadium, Virat Kohli along with Rohit Sharma entered the stands to meet an excited Charulata Patel, an 87-year-old Indian fan who is already famous for her passion for cricket.

Virat tweeted about the meeting later on and melted hearts:

Virat Kohli thanked all the fans for their immense love and support throughout the tournament, especially Charulata Ji. He introduced her as “probably the most passionate and dedicated fan.” He added that passion takes you leaps and bounds and age is just a number.

Charulata Patel is a diehard Indian fan:

Charulata Patel is an 87-year-old Indian fan. She has been fangirling over the Indian Cricket team since long. As a young girl, she used to write every record in a notebook. She was in the crowd cheering the Indian team bag the 1983 world cup.

When Charulata Ji was asked in a TV interview, who is going to win this World cup, naturally she said India. She said meeting Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli was like meeting her own sons.
