Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye -Did Sadia Imam write ?

Sadia Imam just made a claim that baffled the internet. She said she wrote the lyrics of the famous song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye.

This song is almost the reason Rahat Fateh Ali Khan entered Bollywood. After so many years of the song’s success, Sadia Imam has claimed it to be hers. The claim has come at a time when Oxford University awarded an honorary doctorate to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for his contributions to music. This made us and the internet question a lot of things, Sadia Imam’s sincerity being one of them.

Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Song

Sadia Imam said in a controversial statement, “I gave the lyrics to Rahat and the onus of giving me credits depended on his ethical values. Had I been given credits, both the songs would have remained under my name forever.”  this seems like a kind, friendly gesture on her part, but the Co-producer of the song and Rahat’s manager Salman Ahmed doesn’t agree.

The co-producer of the song “Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye” Faisal dismissed the allegation and said he was present when the lyrics were written.

‘He regarded the claims baseless, adding that the song was written and composed in his presence, Faisal Rafi said, Rahat came up with the melody in a taxi.” he added that they went to Rohail’s place with the tune and he made the music for it.

Asim Raza the lyricist was then called and he wrote the lyrics right there and then.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s business director, Salman Ahmed also denied Sadia Imam’s claims and rejected them as false acquisitions. He further added that making such a claim without any proofs at a time when Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is being acknowledged internationally and presented with an honorary doctorate by Oxford University, is in bad taste.

Salman Ahmed mentioned that legal proceedings are always an option If Sadia Imam has proof she can present them in the court.

What do you think guys? Could she be speaking the truth? And how the story will unfold further?
