The grieving father, whose daughter just died of Cancer, Asif and Wahab, were included in the Pakistan’s final 15-Member World Cup Squad. The Left-arm bowler Junaid Khan was excluded, and he is not taking it wise.
Not only this, after seeing the poor bowling performance of the bowlers against England and being whitewashed, the chief selectors and Team management have made it clear giving him time of some recovery, the left-arm pacer, Muhammad Amir will be included in the World Cup Squad.
Both the players, Asif and Wahab were left off initially from the Squad announced last month, and seeing the team’s recent performance in the Series against England, the team management and the Chief Selectors have made consideration of making changes into the line-up.
Seeing the team stunk against England, the Chief Selector said that they could have scored 50 or 60 more runs against the team and restrict them to make the score by increasing grip on the field and bowling.
The Chief Selector also briefed that the bowling unit against England didn’t click as we expected it to be.
Haq said Riaz is being given a second chance because of his experience,
Fast Bowler, Junaid Khan is left off from being included in the World Cup Squad. In anger, he posted a photo on Twitter with the caption, “I don’t want to say anything, Truth is Bitter”. He was replaced by Muhammad Amir in the Monday announcements of the World Cup Squad, seeing his below average performance against England.
Junaid picked only two wickets in the 4-0 Pakistan’s defeat against England.
Inzimam said in a final statement that excluding Junaid and Faheem doesn’t mean that they are not good, this just means that are not suitable and good enough for the recent conditions, and which is why we have preferred Amir, Asif and Wahab.
