AMD Unveils 12-Core Ryzen 9 3900X to Compete Intel i9 9920X

AMD has recently revealed its Ryzen 9 3900X, 12-core with 24-thread in order to give a tough completion to Intel i9 and Nvidia. The CEO of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Lisa Su has unveiled the new chips and graphics processors. Not only in terms of price but also in terms of performance, AMD is planning to beat Intel and Nvidia.

Ryzen third-generation CPU will soon be launched in the market on 7th July, 2019 which will be having a 7-nanometre chips. The major announcement that was made by Lisa Su was the introduction of AMD’s 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X chip with 24-thread. This is the third generation flagship in the family of Ryzen.

Amazingly, the price of this chip is $499 that is half of the price of the Intel i9 9920X chipset. The price of the Intel i9 chip starts from $1,189. The Ryzen 3900X has a speed 1.6 Ghz boost with a cache of 70MB. It uses a thermal design power of around 105 watts, making it comparatively efficient than Intel i9 9920X 165 watts.
According to AMD, they have performed 18% quicker in a blender demo against i9 9920X.

Graphics Processor Units (GPUs)
Moreover, AMD has further announced about their first ever graphics processor units (GPUs) Radeon RX 5000 series that is going to available in July. The price, performance and other features have not yet revealed. However, AMD claimed that this GPU will be more efficient than Nvidia. It is going to give a good competition to Nvidia in terms of price and performance.

3900x Data Processors
EPYC Rome data centre processors have been announced by AMD that is going to launch in the next quarter. Its first demo was held in January at CES. AMD claimed that this EPYC processor will be in competition with the Intel Cascade Lake. They claimed that during a benchmark test, EPYC Rome proved to be two times faster than Intel Cascade Lake.
